Shipping fees

We use Japan Post for our deliveries.

For domestic shipping, you can choose from the following three methods:

Standard Mail (Teikeigai) (Flat rate of 220 yen nationwide)

No tracking or insurance. While delivery is considered complete once the item is placed in your mailbox, most of our wood carvings have enough thickness that they will likely require hand-delivery. Due to the size of the envelopes, we generally limit the number of wood carvings that can be included in one package to two.

Letter Pack Plus (Flat rate of 520 yen nationwide)

Includes tracking and insurance. We will provide the tracking number when we send your shipping confirmation email. A signature or seal is required upon delivery. Due to the size of the Letter Pack envelopes, we limit the number of wood carvings that can be included in one package to one.

Yu-Pack (Shipping rates vary by region)

Includes tracking and insurance. We will provide the tracking number when we send your delivery confirmation email. A signature or seal is required upon delivery. Because the package size changes depending on the number of carvings, we have set it up so you can select "Size 60" for 1–4 items and "Size 80" for 5–6 items.

For loss or damage after shipment, please contact Japan Post directly.

Since covid-19, there has been some confusion regarding the acceptance of mail due to the tightening of quarantine measures in many countries.
If you have any questions regarding the acceptability of mail to your area, please feel free to contact us using the "contact" form.

Please note that there may be significant delays in the delivery of postal items due to the continued implementation of the enhanced covid-19 quarantine measures, etc. We apologize for any inconvenience caused.

EMS(Shipping fees vary depending on your country of residence.)

Compensation and tracking available.
You will receive a tracking number when we send you a confirmation email.
Please note that customs duties and other charges may be incurred in the destination country. In such cases, the recipient will be responsible for any customs duties incurred.
If any part of the contents is stolen or lost and delivered to the recipient, or if damaged mail is delivered to the recipient, please contact us.
In such cases, the recipient must keep the mail in its original condition and report the missing or damaged contents to the local post office. If it is determined that compensation for the damage is appropriate based on the results of the investigation, compensation procedures will be carried out.
Claims for investigation or tracing of postal items must be made within 6 months from the day after the date of application for this service in Japan. For EMS claims, you will need to take several photos as evidence and submit them along with the documents to the local post office.

International ePacket

It can be tracked in some countries and has a compensation of up to 6000 yen.
Unlike EMS, compensation is limited to a maximum of 6,000 yen, and you cannot choose to purchase additional insurance, so please be aware that using e-packet for purchases over 6,000 yen is risky.
Please note that customs duties and other charges may be incurred in the destination country. In such cases, the recipient will be responsible for any customs duties incurred.
In the unlikely event that any part of the contents is stolen or lost and delivered to the recipient, or in the event that damaged mail is delivered to the recipient, please contact us.
In this case, the recipient should keep the mail in its original condition and report the loss or damage of the contents to the nearest post office. If, as a result of the investigation, it is determined that compensation for damage is appropriate, compensation procedures will be followed.

Notes on purchases in France

If you are ordering from France and the recipient's address is in an apartment complex where building access requires an entry code (a numeric code that automatically unlocks the door), please provide the entry code and a phone number in the "Shipping Address" field of the EMS label.
Entry code example: If the code is 2004 → Digicode 2004
If the entry code is unknown and the recipient cannot be reached by phone, the delivery person will not be able to enter the building or leave a missed delivery notice in the mailbox inside the lobby. This may result in the package being held at the nearest post office without the recipient being notified. In rural areas, it is not possible to deliver mail without an entry code. While mail can be delivered without an entry code in some provincial towns, an entry code and phone number are always required in cities such as Paris.
