Agar jelly

I have made a pendant top out of a fluorite euhedral crystal (the bumpy type).

The back side is polished.

The translucent, bumpy crystal looks delicious, like agar jelly dusted with sugar.

Fluorite is a stone famous for its fluorescence under ultraviolet light, and it is also said to be the inspiration for the "levitation stone" (volucite).
It is hard to tell in the strong visible light of a sunny day, but you might be able to see it fluoresce a faint purple in the light of an overcast day or at dusk.

The pendant top measures approximately 30×16×5mm, and a sterling silver (925) chain is included.
