This is a wood-carved dog (Corgi).
The material is Japanese cypress (with some bamboo) and it is colored with acrylic paint.
The dimensions are approximately 12.7 (11.7) cm in height, 4.7 cm in width, and 8.5 (8) cm in depth (the numbers in parentheses indicate the size of the body alone, with parts removed).
In spring, the season seems to progress with the cycle of rain and the blooming and fading of flowers. Perhaps it is fairies who are advancing the season by bringing down showers of flowers.
Plants and insects that appear only during the short season of spring are sometimes called "spring ephemerals" (fairies of spring).
The butterfly known as the "Kotsubame" (Callophrys ferrea) is one of them; with its hairy body, large eyes, and small triangular wings held in a tidy posture, it looks exactly like an adorable little fairy.
When they are at rest, they rarely open their wings, making them appear brown and inconspicuous at first glance. However, as they take flight and vanish into the forest shadows, the pale blue on the inner side of their wings shimmers, making it look as though a fairy is flying away with a faint, magical glow.
The Anemone raddeana is another spring fairy; it is said that it is known by the alternative name "Rain-bringing Flower" because picking it is said to cause rain.

The butterfly Callophrys ferrea is one of them, and its posture, with its hairy body, large eyes, and small triangular wings, makes it look like a lovely fairy itself.
When they are stationary, they rarely open their wings, so at first glance they appear brown and inconspicuous, but when they fly away and disappear into the darkness of the forest, the light blue inside their wings twinkles, making them look like fairies flying away with a faint glow.
Anemone raddeana is another spring fairy, also known as the "rainfall flower" because it rains when picked.

Additionally, if placed in a high-temperature environment, natural resins within the wood may melt and seep onto the surface. We recommend storing the item in a location with minimal fluctuations in temperature and humidity. Specifically, please avoid areas exposed to direct sunlight or near air conditioning vents, as these can accelerate the deterioration of the wood.
