Juniper berry

木彫りのカミキリムシ（ケブカマルクビカミキリ）です。
素材はヒノキ（一部竹）、着彩はアクリル絵の具です。
サイズは約高さ12cm、横幅5㎝、奥行き8.8(5)㎝（カッコ内の数字はパーツを外した本体のみのサイズ）です。

ネズの木に現れる小さなカミキリムシです。
ネズは和白檀と言われる香りの良い木なのだそうだけど、海外の仲間はその実を香辛料や薬として使うらしい。
ジンという酒はネズの実で香りづけをした蒸留酒のことなのだそうだ。

This is a wood carving of a longicorn beetle (Atimia densa).
The material is Japanese cypress (with some bamboo parts), and it is painted with acrylics.
The size is approximately 12 cm in height, 5 cm in width, and 8.8 (5) cm in depth (the number in parentheses is the size of the body only, with parts removed).

This is a small longicorn beetle that can be found on needle juniper trees.
I have heard that the needle juniper is a fragrant tree known as "Japanese sandalwood," and that its berries are used as a spice and medicine by its overseas relatives.
The liquor known as "gin" is a distilled spirit flavored with these juniper berries.

輸送中の破損を防ぐため、パーツを組まずに発送します（画像二枚目をご確認ください。この状態で発送します）。到着後にパーツを組んで、木工用ボンドで接着してください。
お客様都合での返品交換は基本的に受け付けていません。
細かい傷や歪みなど、ハンドメイドならではの味わいを感じることもあるかもしれません。
デバイスや光源によっては色や雰囲気が異なって見えることもございます。
素材が木なので、吸湿と乾燥を繰り返すことで割れが発生する可能性があります。また、温度の高い場所に置くと木の内部の脂が溶けて表面に滲み出す場合がございます。なるべく湿度や温度の変化の少ない場所で保管することをお勧めします。特に直射日光が当たる場所やエアコンの吹き出し口付近での保管は木の劣化を早めるので避けて下さい。

As this product is made of wood, repeated absorption and release of moisture may cause cracking. Additionally, if placed in high temperatures, natural resins inside the wood may melt and seep to the surface. We recommend storing the item in a place with minimal fluctuations in temperature and humidity. Please avoid direct sunlight or placing it near air conditioner vents, as this can accelerate the deterioration of the wood.
