This is a wood-carved stag beetle (Figulus binodulus).
The material is Japanese cypress (partially bamboo), and it is colored with acrylic paint.
The size is approximately 10 cm in height, 6.5 (6) cm in width, and 6 cm in depth (the numbers in parentheses indicate the size of the main body only, with parts detached).

These are small stag beetles that can be seen crawling all over the ground in early summer.
They are apparently stag beetles that raise their young.
They are very familiar insects in my local area.

As this product is made of wood, it may crack due to repeated moisture absorption and drying. Additionally, if placed in a high-temperature area, the natural oils within the wood may melt and seep to the surface. We recommend storing the item in a location with minimal fluctuations in humidity and temperature. In particular, please avoid placing it in direct sunlight or near air conditioning vents, as these will accelerate the deterioration of the wood.
