This is a hand-carved wooden baby bird (duck).
The material is Japanese cypress (with some bamboo parts), and it is painted with acrylics.
The dimensions are approximately 8.5 cm in height, 4 cm in width, and 5.5 cm in depth.

The Doll's Festival (Momo-no-Sekku) is a day to pray for the healthy growth of girls, and it is said that Hina dolls were originally displayed as a miniature representation of a wedding ceremony to wish for a happy marriage in the future. However, I believe there are many ways for a girl to grow up healthy and many different forms of happiness, so I created these Hina dolls in a different shape.

"雛（Hina)" in today's Japan mainly means a child of a bird, but it originally means "something small and cute", and small and cute dolls displayed on Momo-no-Sekku are called "Hina-ningyo (Hina dolls)".
March 3 is called Momo-no-Sekku in Japan, a day to pray for the healthy growth of girls, and hina dolls resembling a wedding ceremony are displayed to pray for a happy marriage in the future.
However, I think there are many different forms of happiness and healthy growth of girls, so I made another form of Hina dolls.
