This is a wood carved bird (Greater Painted-snipe).
The material is Japanese cypress, and it is hand-painted with acrylics.
It is approximately 10 cm tall, 6 cm wide, and 6 cm deep.

Being different attracts attention and often leads to mockery or denial. Yet, we cannot do what we are not capable of, and we must overcome challenges using the abilities we have, even if our methods differ from others.

The female Greater Painted-snipe has more striking plumage than the male; the female courts the male and defends the territory, while the male raises the young.
Such birds are said to account for less than 1% of the total avian population.
I often ponder how such differences come to be, but in the end, it likely began with someone choosing to be different, finding others who joined them in that change.

Birds that gather at the water's edge are known as "chidori" (plovers), and have long been cherished in patterns as symbols of overcoming rough seas together and achieving goals.
The flower language of the wood sorrel (Oxalis corniculata) is "I will live with you."

This is a wood carved bird (Rostratula benghalensis).
The material is cypress and the coloring is acrylic paint.
It is approximately 10 cm tall, 6 cm wide, and 6 cm deep.

Being different attracts attention and is often ridiculed or denied. But we cannot do what we cannot do, and we must overcome difficulties by doing what we can do, even if it is in a different way than others.

The female of Rostratula benghalensis has more conspicuous plumage than the male, and the female courts the male and protects the territory, while the male raises the young.
Such birds account for less than 1% of all birds.
I can't help but wonder how something different came to be, but at any rate, it must be that someone started something different and had a group of friends who shared in that change.

In Japan, birds that gather at the water's edge are called chidori, or "plover," and have long been popular in kimono patterns and the like as something that overcomes rough seas together and achieves its goal.
Oxalis corniculata f. rubrifolia means "I live with you" in Japan.
