Warmth

This is a wood-carved water buffalo (Asian water buffalo).
It is made of Japanese cypress and painted with acrylics.
Dimensions: 15.3 cm high, 6 cm wide, 11 (7) cm deep (the number in parentheses is the size of the body alone with parts removed).

If things aren't going your way, it’s not because your horns are crooked. And it’s certainly not because someone else’s horns are crooked, either.
When you find yourself wearing a fearful expression, I believe what you need is a warm glass of milk prepared by someone else, and a soft quilt to crawl under with your cat.
It is you yourself, with your own crooked horns, who sustains you, and what helps you is what you never let go of.
May you never deny what is most precious to you.

This is a wood carving of a water buffalo (Asian Suigyu).
The material is cypress, and the coloring is acrylic paint.
The size is 15.3 cm (height), 6 cm (width), and 11 (7) cm (depth) (the numbers in parentheses are the size of the body only without parts).

There is a Japanese proverb: "Trying to straighten the horns will kill the cow."
This is a metaphor suggesting that a cow's horns are naturally curved and impossible to fix, and that trying to forcefully straighten them will only kill the cow itself. It serves as a reminder that trying to fix a minor flaw can ruin the whole thing.

If something isn't going your way, it's not because your horns are crooked. Nor is it because someone else's horns are crooked.
When you look scared, all you need is a glass of warm milk prepared for you, and a soft comforter to share with your cat.
It is you, with your crooked horns, who holds yourself up, and it is the things you never let go of that help you.
May you never deny what is most precious to you.
