This is a wood-carved lion.
It is made of cypress (with some parts in bamboo and akebi) and colored with acrylic paint.
The dimensions are approximately 12 cm in height, 7.5 (6) cm in width, and 11.5 (7) cm in depth (numbers in parentheses refer to the body only, with parts removed).

While it is said in Japan that there is a rabbit on the moon, it seems there are regions where people say there is a lion on the moon.
The Melanitis phedima butterfly, which hatches in autumn, survives the winter as a butterfly to pass its life on to the next generation.

As the material is wood, repeated cycles of moisture absorption and drying may lead to cracks. Additionally, if placed in a high-temperature environment, natural resins within the wood may melt and seep to the surface. We recommend storage in a place with minimal fluctuations in temperature and humidity. In particular, please avoid direct sunlight or proximity to air conditioner vents, as these will accelerate the deterioration of the wood.
