Adonis ramosa (Amur adonis)

This is a hand-carved wooden rabbit (miniature).
It is made of Japanese cypress and painted with acrylics.
The dimensions are approximately 10 cm in height, 4.5 cm in width, and 4 cm in depth.

After creating a sculpture of Nanten (heavenly bamboo) to "turn misfortune into good fortune," I decided to create a Fukujuso (Amur adonis) as well.
The Fukujuso is a flower that blooms through the snow, marking the earliest arrival of spring around the lunar New Year.
Next year is the Year of the Rabbit. The kanji for "rabbit" (卯) is said to represent the way spring vegetation begins to cover the earth.
May these difficult times come to an end, and may your days be filled with abundant happiness.

Recently, I made Nanten (heavenly bamboo), which are believed to "turn misfortune into fortune," so I decided to make Fukujuso (Amur adonis) (Fukujuso means "happy plant" in Japanese) as well.
Fukujuso is a flower that blooms around the first day of the first month of the lunar calendar, the first day of spring, through the snow.
Next year is the year of the rabbit. Rabbit is said to represent the way spring plants and trees cover the ground.
May the hard times be over and may your days be filled with abundant happiness.
