sin

This is a wood-carved chimpanzee.
It is made of Japanese cypress and colored with acrylic paint.
Dimensions are approximately 10 cm in height, 7 (5) cm in width, and 5.2 (5) cm in depth (numbers in parentheses indicate the size of the body only, with parts removed).

It is said that while humans hesitate to commit a sin in front of others, chimpanzees do not hesitate even if other chimpanzees are watching.
This is apparently because their actions are not communicated through language, and their reputation is not affected by what others think.
What we call "sin" is that which causes us shame when seen by others.
Sin is something humans created so that the weak can survive by utilizing the strength of the group.
I believe sin exists so that individuals with various abilities—rather than relying on a single set of values—can live together by supporting one another.
