福寿草　happy plant

木彫りのうさぎ（ミニウサギ）です。
素材はヒノキ、着彩はアクリル絵の具です。
サイズは約高さ10㎝、横幅4.5㎝、奥行き4㎝です。

「禍転じて福と為す」の南天を作ったので、福寿草も作ってみました。
福寿草は旧暦の元日頃、春の一番早くに雪を掻き分けて咲く花です。
来年は卯年ですね。卯は春の草木が地面を覆うようになる様を表すのだそうです。
辛い時が終わって、豊かな幸福に日々が満たされますように。

The material is cypress and the coloring is acrylic paint.
The size is about 10cm high, 4.5cm wide, and 4cm deep.

Recently, I made Nanten (heavenly bamboo), which are believed to "turn misfortune into fortune," so I decided to make Fukujuso（forked-stem adonis） (Fukujuso means "happy plant" in Japanese) as well.
Fukujuso is a flower that blooms around the first day of the first month of the lunar calendar, the first day of spring, through the snow.
Next year is the year of the rabbit. Rabbit is said to represent the way spring plants and trees cover the ground.
May the hard times be over and may your days be filled with abundant happiness.

素材が木なので、吸湿と乾燥を繰り返すことで割れが発生する可能性があります。なるべく湿度の変化の少ない場所で保管することをお勧めします。特に直射日光が当たる場所やエアコンの吹き出し口付近での保管は木の劣化を早めるので避けて下さい。
