木彫りの犬（日本テリア）です。
素材はヒノキ、着彩はアクリル絵の具です。
サイズは約高さ約14㎝、横幅4.5㎝、奥行き4.8㎝です。

雨が降りそうだから、傘を持って迎えに来た犬です。

犬は人と同じように、見た目の違うあらゆる犬種を自分と同じ犬として認識できるのだそうだ。
だけど、単なる見た目の違いで憎しみを作って排除しようとしたりしないらしい。
犬は社会性のある動物だけど、彼らの作る社会は信頼関係から成るもので、支配的な関係性ではないのだそうだ。

This dog came to pick me up with an umbrella because it was going to rain.

They say that dogs, like people, can recognize all breeds of dogs that look different as dogs like themselves.
But they don't try to eliminate them by creating hatred based on mere differences in appearance.
Dogs are social animals, but the society they create is based on trust, not dominance.

素材が木なので、吸湿と乾燥を繰り返すことで割れが発生する可能性があります。なるべく湿度の変化の少ない場所で保管することをお勧めします。特に直射日光が当たる場所やエアコンの吹き出し口付近での保管は木の劣化を早めるので避けて下さい。
