木彫りのブチハイエナです。
素材はヒノキ、着彩はアクリル絵の具です。
サイズは約高さ11.5㎝、横幅5.8㎝、奥行き8.7㎝です。

ハイエナの名前が悪い意味で使われることは多いと思うのだけど、実際のハイエナは高度な社会性を持つ、頭の良い動物なのだそうだ。
人の想像と評判だけで、実態と違うイメージに固定されてしまうことがあるということを、実感させられる動物だと思う。

I think the name hyena is often used in a bad way, but the actual hyena is a highly social and intelligent animal.

素材が木なので、吸湿と乾燥を繰り返すことで割れが発生する可能性があります。なるべく湿度の変化の少ない場所で保管することをお勧めします。特に直射日光が当たる場所やエアコンの吹き出し口付近での保管は木の劣化を早めるので避けて下さい。
