木彫りのカワセミです。
素材はヒノキ、着彩はアクリル絵の具です。　
サイズは約高さ4.5cm、横幅5cm、奥行き10cmです。

ほとんどの青い生き物は、色素によって青いのではなくて、構造によって青く見えるのだそうだ。
だから、青い鳥は見る時によって、水色に輝いて見えたり、影のように暗く見えたりする。
昆虫や魚の青も、輝いているのは自然の中で生きている時だけのことが多い。
宝石のように手元に保管しておきたくても、憧れは捕まえると途端に色あせる。
だからいつまでも憧れのまま。

Most blue creatures are not blue because of their pigment but because of their structure.
Therefore, depending on when you look at a blue bird, it may appear light blue or dark like a shadow.

So it will always remain a longing.

In Japan, the name of a beautiful blue bird that lives by the water is the name of a jewel.
I think it is so beautiful that they wanted to keep it close at hand for a long time.

素材が木なので、吸湿と乾燥を繰り返すことで割れが発生する可能性があります。なるべく湿度の変化の少ない場所で保管することをお勧めします。特に直射日光が当たる場所やエアコンの吹き出し口付近での保管は木の劣化を早めるので避けて下さい。
