Lollipop

木彫りの幼虫（クロコノマチョウ）です。
素材はヒノキ、着彩はアクリル絵の具です。
サイズは約高さ10㎝、横幅8㎝、奥行き10.5㎝です。

ヒメジャノメやコジャノメの幼虫は、猫耳のお面を付けているのだけれど、クロコノマチョウは黒ウサギのお面を付けています。
卵からかえってしばらくは兄弟で集まっていて、これがまた小さい子が皆で遊んでるみたいで可愛いです。
それから脱皮を繰り返して、黒ウサギのお面に一人一人違う模様が浮かび上がってきたと思ったら、独り立ちしていきます。
自分の意志を見つけてそれぞれの道を進んでいく様子のようで、面白いです。

成虫は結構大きめの蝶だけど、多分、見たことのある人は多くないと思います。
昼間は暗い林内でじっとしていて、あたりがうっすらと見える程度の暗い時間になると、林の中をものすごい勢いで飛び回る蝶です。日が沈む頃まで林の近くにいたら、何かよく分からないけど拳くらいの大きさの影が周りをもの凄い勢いで飛び回っている、という時はこの蝶の可能性があります。ライトを向けると消えます。妖精の類みたいだと思っています。

This is a wood carving of a larva of a Melanitis phedima.
The material is cypress and the coloring is acrylic paint.
The size is approximately 10 cm high, 8 cm wide, and 10.5 cm deep.

The larvae of the Mycalesis gotama and Mycalesis francisca are wearing cat-ear masks, but the Melanitis phedima wears the mask of a black rabbit.
For a while after emerging from the egg, they gather together with their siblings, which is also cute, as if all the little ones are playing together.
The larvae feed on rather large monocotyledonous plants such as Judama, which produces fruits like lollipop candies, and Miscanthus sinensis.
Then, after repeated molting, each pattern appears on the black rabbit's mask, and it leaves to fend for itself.
It is interesting to see how they find their own will and go their own way.

The adult butterfly is quite large, but probably not many people have seen it.
During the daytime, the butterfly stays still in the dark forest, and when it is dark enough to see around it, it flies around the forest with great speed. If you are near the forest until the sun goes down and you see a shadow the size of your fist flying around you with great speed, it may be this butterfly. It disappears when you point a light at it. I think it is like a kind of fairy.

輸送中の破損を防ぐため、パーツを組まずに発送します（画像二枚目をご確認ください。この状態で発送します）。到着後にパーツを組んで、木工用ボンドで接着してください。
お客様都合での返品交換は基本的に受け付けていません。
細かい傷や歪みなど、ハンドメイドならではの味わいを感じることもあるかもしれません。
デバイスや光源によっては色や雰囲気が異なって見えることもございます。
素材が木なので、吸湿と乾燥を繰り返すことで割れが発生する可能性があります。なるべく湿度の変化の少ない場所で保管することをお勧めします。特に直射日光が当たる場所やエアコンの吹き出し口付近での保管は木の劣化を早めるので避けて下さい。

In order to prevent damage during transportation, we ship the parts without assembling them (please check the second image. It will be shipped in this condition. ). Please assemble the parts upon arrival and glue them together with wood glue.
Basically, we do not accept returns or exchanges for customer reasons.
You may notice minor scratches, distortions, and other unique handmade flavors.
The color and atmosphere may look different depending on your device and light source.
Since the material is wood, repeated moisture absorption and drying may cause cracking. It is recommended to store the product in a place with as little change in humidity as possible. In particular, please avoid storing the product in direct sunlight or near air conditioner vents, as this will accelerate the deterioration of the wood.
