山伏　Wundervogel

木彫りのコウモリ（コテングコウモリ）です。
素材はヒノキ、着彩はアクリル絵の具です。
サイズは約高さ10cm、横幅6.5㎝、奥行き6.5㎝です。

山に登るとフキの枯れ葉の中なんかに時々伏している蝙蝠です。
日本の山は神様がいて、その神聖な山に伏して修業をして神通力を得た人を山伏といって、天狗と同一視していたらしい。

This is a wood carving of a bat (Ussuri tube-nosed bat).
The material is cypress and the coloring is acrylic paint.
The size is approximately 10 cm high, 6.5 cm wide, and 6.5 cm deep.

The Japanese name for the Ussuri tube-nosed bat is "ko-tengu" bat.
When you climb a mountain, you can sometimes find this bat lying down among the dead leaves of Japanese butterbur.
Japanese mountains were believed to be inhabited by gods, and people who practiced asceticism on these sacred mountains and gained divine powers were called yamabushi (mountain ascetics) and were considered to be the same as tengu.
(Tengu are Japanese monsters. A ko-tengu, also known as a crow-tengu, is said to be a tengu with a bird-like face that flies freely in the sky and manipulates divine powers).

細かい傷や歪みなど、ハンドメイドならではの味わいを感じることもあるかもしれません。
デバイスや光源によっては色や雰囲気が異なって見えることもございます。
素材が木なので、吸湿と乾燥を繰り返すことで割れが発生する可能性があります。また、温度の高い場所に置くと木の内部の脂が溶けて表面に滲み出す場合がございます。なるべく湿度や温度の変化の少ない場所で保管することをお勧めします。特に直射日光が当たる場所やエアコンの吹き出し口付近での保管は木の劣化を早めるので避けて下さい。

We recommend storing the product in a place with as little change in humidity and temperature as possible. In particular, please avoid storing the product in direct sunlight or near air conditioner vents, as this will accelerate the deterioration of the wood.
